    • Use Consul to keep "snapshotting" state for nodes, and remove orphaned pending snapshots if a node goes down while in the middle of a snapshot, preventing a gridlock from occurring in functionality that waits for pending snapshots to be completed.     • Snapshotting improvements:
      • Snapshots are now taken from a read replica (except for an initial snapshot by the source server on initialization). This prevents writes from failing on the source server while a snapshot is taking place.
      • Take node that is currently snapshotting out of the list of accessible nodes while the snapshot occurs. This prevents people from potentially receiving stale data if snapshotting takes a long time.
    • Check if backup / snapshot is needed every minute as opposed to every 5 minutes - this makes the SNAPSHOT_MINUTES environment configuration actually work properly.
    • Store MYSQL_VERSION environment variable and use it to populate ProxySQL so that it reports the correct MySQL version - previously it would report the default version of 5.5.40.
